mdTeknix is committed to the utilization and adoption of technical standards for interoperability in healthcare technology. To this end, the company has designed its solutions based on industry standards and the latest technical architecture to promote interoperability with other systems, devices, and service providers. eyeTeknix leverages the HL7 interface protocol for transfer of scheduling and billing information between the eyeTeknix EMR and other Practice Management systems, and prefers to utilize this standard over custom, non-standard interfaces.
In addition, mdTeknix is part of a working group promoting interoperability within eye care based on the IHE framework as demonstrated at many healthcare IT events, which strives to ensure standards-based communication between software providers, device manufacturers, and other parties. |
